HAT, White, canvas

H2007.104

Floppy wide brimmed white cotton canvas cricket hat. Consists of flat circular piece of canvas on the top, and two wide canvas bands around the side, which join to the brim. Evenly spaced around the circumference of the top band are four 20mm diameter circular black metal mesh covered circles for ventilation. Sewn around the circumference of the lower canvas band are six verticle rectangular canvas belt loops, 10mm wide and 42mm high. Underneath the loops is a 27mm wide belt of canvas material running the circumference of the had. The belt is tacked to the hat with several long vertical stitches in between each belt loop. The hat brim is made of thicker canvas, and has eight rows of horizontal stitching around it, 6mm apart. The stitches are long and quite loose. Much of the stitching around the hat brim has come undone. Attached inside is a white satin-look material label. Printed on one side in red is 'AMBASSADOR' and underneath in black '100% COTTON/60cm/MADE IN HONG KONG'. On reverse side are printed waching instructions.
