TROUSERS, Flares

H1989.1042

Light blue flares with dark blue stitching. Flares fit on the hips and have wide belt loops. Two back pockets and two inside front pockets. They are fastened at the front by a zip and two buttons. The back pockets are also fastened by buttons. Permanent crease at the front and back of the trousers. Side seams are open and have a piece of fabric underneath them. There is a line of contrast- ing stitching on either side of the seam. The zip and the waist are lined with cotton and the crutch is lined with nylon. On a black square label appears a crest of blue and white. The following writing also appears; " Lord / John / CITY ARCADE HAY ST. PERTH. " . There are also two small tags. One has the composition of the flares ie. " 55% TERYLENE / 45% WOOL " and the other the size of the flares ie. " 5 / W34 ". The flares were worn when going out to parties etc.
