SUIT, MORNING

Two-piece suit, comprising jacket (.1) and trousers (.2). Though worn together, these 2 items were made at separate times. Both jacket and trousers are a heavy wool fabric, black in colour. The jacket is single-breasted with 2 black buttons. There is a handkerchief pocket and 2 flap pockets. Under the handkerchief pocket, there are 4 cotton loops to hold insignia. A label sewn into the inside pocket reads 'COLLINS ST/ O'BRIEN & EARLE/ MELBOURNE/ P. HASLUCK. ESQ./ Date MARCH 1960.' The arms of the jacket are lined in white synthetic material, the remainder of the lining in block.
The trousers, have double pleated fronts, with 2 narrow braids running from the waistband to the cuffs. On the outer of each leg. There are two front pockets and a money pocket. The trousers are fastened by a metal hook and eye, with a buttoned fly. A label on the inside of the waistband reads 'PERTH/ PARKER & COMPANY/ W.A./ P. HASLUCK./ MAR.1941.' The buttons are all imprinted with 'PARKER & CO/ TRINITY ARCADE'.
