Uniform worn by V. Hunt when he worked as a fitter with the Fremantle Port Authority between about 1961 and 1970 and then as an engineer until 13 October 1971. The uniform is that issued to "other officers" by the Fremantle Port Authority. The buttons may be from a pilot's uniform and do not belong to this uniform. (a) Jacket. Navy blue, no tags. Four buttons removed from front attached in pocket (Buttons: 8, brass "F.P.A. ? (star) / (anchor)"). (b) Trousers. Navy blue, white lining, buttoned front. (c) Cap. Navy blue, red synthetic lining, black plastic strap and peak. Label: "(crown) / G.B. / GROSE BROS. / Cap / Specialists / 659 HAY STREET / PERTH" and "67 / 8". (d) as (c) but blue lining. Half label missing. (e) Two badges, black felt background, gold braid: "(star) / FPA / (silver coloured anchor)". One in celophane packet. (f) Name tag, black with white letters: "E.R.A. / V. HUNT."
