Fawn felt. Deep crown with narrow brim. Brim slightly wider at the sides than the front and back. Crown rounded. Sides of crown and upper part of brim elaborately decorated with pieces of cut-out felt joined to pieces of netted nylon. The bands of nylon net are used like a tape lace would be used with insertions of felt. Ribbed silk band inside lower brim. Printed on silk label attached to ribbed band 'GEROETTE CLAUX/ Melle MADELEINE Succr/ 32 Rue du MONT THABOR/ PARIS'. All hand sewn.
