White. Made from one piece of material. Square neck. Flat shoulder seam. All top hems embroidered in coral stitch and finished with lace. Shoulders made to turn back over sleeve displaying coral stitch. Sleeve formed only by a band of lace together with a gusset. All hand sewn no fastenings. Reference: Cunnington & Buck, CHILDREN'S COSTUME IN ENGLAND 1300-1900, pages 152-3.
