The Now and Then challenge is to line up the old photograph with what still remains today. Join Christopher Lewis, ABC Open Producer for Mid West and Wheatbelt to learn the technique of how to best set up your camera, and get prepared to create your own Now and Then photo. What happens when you visit or re-visit the site where the original photograph was taken? How do you stand where the photographer must have been standing? What are the lighting and focus techniques you can use to create the best possible photo?

What should I bring?
Look through your old photo albums to find photos that look different from now - maybe back in the 1920s or the 1980s, or it could be a photograph of an unusual event. Photos that have both people and recognisable buildings often work best. Bring a digital camera and tripod if you have one.

Do you have lots of historical photos?
If you already have some historical or old photos you are keen to use or share with others, please bring them along.

Photo permission
Make sure that you have permission to use the photographs. If they are not your family's or they are from a book or the internet, you will need copyright permission to use them.
