March, April and May are the months of autumn. In Kalgoorlie-Boulder, the trees start to lose their leaves ready to sleep through the winter months. Come to the WA Museum – Kalgoorlie-Boulder these school holidays for autumn inspired art and craft activities.

Autumn Art Classes

Autumn trees can be spectacular with their coloured leaves contrasting with the blue sky and Kalgoorlie-Boulder’s red dirt. Come long to the Museum these holidays to learn some art skills and create your own autumn art pieces.

Times: 10.30am to 12.30pm
Dates: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays during the holidays (11, 13, 15, 18, 20, 22 April)
Ages: 8 years and above
Cost: $5 per child

Fun with Leaves

What can you do with autumn leaves? Have some crafty fun using autumn leaves or make and decorate your own.

Times: 10.30am to 12.30pm
Dates: Tuesdays and Thursdays during the holidays (12, 14, 19, 21 April)
Cost: $5 per child
Age: 5 years and above

Up and Down Trail

Based on the game of Snakes and Ladders, make your way around the Museum game board. Each player will first create their playing piece, then after rolling the die players will move their piece that number of spaces. As you go around the board – up the headframes and down the lifts – you will discover some interesting facts and figures!

Dates: 9 – 24 April 2016
Cost: $2 per activity
Age: 3 years and above
Bookings: not required
