Boorongurups: A collection by Tjyllyungoo

Tjyllyungoo/Lance Chadd is a Bibbulmun Noongar/Budimia Yamatji man, born in the South-West of WA. Borongorups is an important place for Bibbulmun Peoples and the most important Winartj sacred place on Country.

Lance Chadd’s artwork emphasises Aboriginal spirituality with its deep connection with and unity of land, people, animals and plants. His work offers a chance for each of us to reflect on how we belong and connect to all that is around us.

NAIDOC Town Square Event

The Museum of the Great Southern will host a range of children’s activities as part of the community NAIDOC Town Square Event.

Walking Together (Tuesday Curatorial)

This Tuesday Curatorial delves into a cross-cultural exploration of south coastal plant life presented by Professor Steve Hopper of the University of Western Australia-Albany.

Workshop with Tjyllyungoo/Lance Chadd

Whether you are a beginner who has never touched a brush before or an advanced artist, you will walk away from Tjyllungoo’s workshop with new skills, new perspective and a painting you will be proud of. Learn gouache techniques and observation skills before creating your own art piece. All materials supplied, light refreshments served.
