Bush Food & Bush Medicine NAIDOC Week: Heal Country! Tue 6 Jul 2021 10:30am – 11:30am Museum of the Great Southern The theme for NAIDOC Week this year is “Heal Country!”, and we will be joined by Larry Blight, local Menang Man, who will share his knowledge on local “Bush Food and Bush Medicine”. Larry is passionate about his Boodja (Land) and all things on it and has extensive knowledge of local bushfoods, medicines, fauna, local stories and traditions. Larry has been passing on this knowledge through cross-cultural awareness workshops, Aboriginal tourism, school educational workshops and more. Larry has helped on archaeological digs and research. His passion to understand and to share not only “what”, “where”, and “when”, but also “why”, “how”, add dimension and often humour as he tells stories of the Menang people and their history. 6 July 2021 10:30-11:30am Co-op Building
