Rediscover the local history through the artefacts and stories on display in our Ngurra Yiwarra permanent exhibition.

Linden Brownley of Bush Ghoodhu Wongutha Tours will preset stories as a gateway to stargazing through the eyes of the world’s first astronomers: for thousands of years, Aboriginal people scanned the night sky using its secret to survive the harsh Australian landscape.

• 7pm to 7:45 – Tour of the Ngurra Yiwarra permanent exhibition
• 7:45pm to 8:30pm – Aboriginal Night Sky on the Ivanhoe headframe (visitors are welcome to BYO beanbags)

This event will be limited to 50 participants, in line with Phase 4 current COVID-19 restrictions
