Museum of the Great Southern

Immerse yourself in the beauty of the natural world through stunning images by professional, emerging and junior photographers who have shown impeccable timing, patience, artistry and technique to capture incredible moments in time.

This breathtaking exhibition allows us to witness the unique beauty of the flora, fauna and landscapes of our own back yard and the world around us, all while celebrating the natural heritage of Australia, New Zealand, Antarctica and New Guinea bioregions. These images provoke us to explore and understand the changing nature of our environment and appreciate the wonder that surrounds us while enriching our knowledge of this extraordinary region.

In 2020 the competition received 1796 photographs from 377 photographers in 14 countries, the best of which are displayed in this exhibition.

Entry to Museum of the Great Southern is free, donations are welcome.
