Rock into the Museum of Geraldton these school holidays to discover the vast mining and mineral treasures hidden below the surface of the Mid West!

The Mine Site Activity Centre

Dates: 8 – 24 April
Times: 9.30am – 3pm

Age: All ages welcome
Bookings: Not required

The Mine Site Activity Centre includes:

• Minerals mined in the Mid West: can you identify the minerals using the clues given?
• Heigh ho it’s off to work we go! Delve into the dress-up box and deck yourself out in high-vis and a hard hat ready for a day at the mine site.
• Ore-some! Test your ability by steering the small-scale dump truck from the mine face and taking the load of ore to the crusher and hopper loader.
• Shovelling dirt: create your own mine site story with this felt board complete with shovel excavator, front-end loader and dump truck.

Strike it Rich – Finders Keepers!
