Fresh Science is a national competition helping early-career researchers find, and then share, their stories of discovery.

This special event transforms up-and-coming researchers into spokespeople for science, putting a real face to STEM.

We invite you to bring your class to the Fresh Science School Forum and inspire your students with stories of great Australian science discoveries!

All students from upper-primary through to year 12 are welcome to attend, however presentations are aimed specifically at year 9 and 10 students.
There are two sessions available. Each run for approximately one hour.
After each session, school groups are welcome to explore the Museum. Additional fees to enter our new exhibition Horrible Histories – Pirates: The Exhibition do apply.
As well as their curious minds and enthusiasm, students are encouraged to bring morning tea or lunch.

Time	Activity	Detail
9.30am - 9.50am	Schools arrive and sign in.	We recommend that students wait outside the Museum under teacher supervision, while the coordinating teacher completes the sign-in sheet at the Museum's front desk. Students can then be escort them into the NWS Shipping Theatre for Session 1, or can be broken into smaller supervised groups for morning tea and to explore the Museum.
10am - 11am	Session 1 commences (capacity 150 students)	All groups who have registered for Session 1 need to be seated in the NWS Theatre.
11.30am - 12.30pm	Session 2 commences (capacity 150 students)	All groups who have registered for Session 2 need to be seated in the NWS Theatre.
12.30pm - 1.30pm	Free time to explore in smaller supervised groups.	Groups are broken into smaller supervised groups to explore the Museum or have a lunch break.
1.30am - 2pm	Schools depart	Have a safe journey back to school.
