How can you take amazing astro-images?

Join Dr John Goldsmith and Ken Lawson for three brief and interactive demonstration sessions. Each session will provide tips on how to get the best out of your camera equipment and to expand your understanding of astrophotography. Held in the surroundings of the AstroFest 2016 exhibition at WA Museum (Geraldton), the presenters will demonstrate some incredible astrophotography equipment and share their expertise, to inspire and encourage new and upcoming astrophotographers.

Each session will be 20 minutes long, lead by John and Ken with a short break before the next session.

All participants should bring their own cameras, tripods and any equipment they want tips on – DSLR are recommended. You may also want to bring your laptop or device used to process the images.

Sessions:

An introduction to the Astrofest 2016 exhibition, & simple tripod based astrophotography (Dr John Goldsmith),
