Two local Pilbara students, Anita and Leban, with scientists from the Western Australian Museum, are about to take you on a journey of discovery through the fourty-two islands of the Dampier Archipelago. They will reveal the secrets of their amazing backyard - made up of equal doses of heavy industry and natural wonders!

Anita and Laban will weave their way through tapestry of marine habitats and portside industry to reveal a remarkable coexistence - a wealth of marine life living along side industry, shipping, wharves and pipelines. From mysterious mangroves, beautiful coral reefs, exotic sponge gardens and gas pipelines, these two young locals will help the museum scientists investigate the secrets of this rich archipelgo.

This documentary is accompanied by a Teacher Resource which is a valuable teaching aid providing direction for further assignment research.
