Revisiting the SydneyMorgan Strong's blog | Created 1 decade agoHi there. For our Immerse exhibition we've been collaborating with the good people at Hungry Skies, a local games development house, to use archival ROV footage of the HMAS Sydney (II) to build a 3D version of the wreck. The interactive has now been installed at the Maritime Museum in one of the interactives for the Immerse exhibition (come check it out). You use the touchscreen interactive to pilot around the wreck as if you were piloting the ROV. We're also building an online version now, which we hope to having running on our site shortly. Here's the development version in WebGL: WebGL Sydney flyaround Please note this is development version built on WebGL, you need to be using Firefox or Google Chrome to view this - if you're on IE you'll need to wait until there's a Flash version built.
