Ningaloo Reef: A World Heritage Zone.

The Ningaloo Reef was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site on the 24th of June 2011. 

The Ningaloo Coast was nominated because of its exceptional underwater scenery, whale sharks and other important sea animals, its biological diversity and that it has unique fauna that is important to science and the protection of species.
