Tourism: The Lighthouse The Lighthouse Image courtesy of Amanda Francis-Maher 1907 is the year the Mildura wrecked along the coast of Exmouth. Construction started in 1910 for Vlamingh Head Lighthouse. You can still look at the original headquarters, but the jarrah roof has been replaced with tin due to Cyclone Vance that tore the original roof off. Listen to one of the young curators interview Jasper about the lighthouse. Your audio isn't downloading, please try the attached audio. On the lighthouse's birthday there is a projector set up telling a story on the lighthouse. You can also get a tour of the building of Vlamingh Head Lighthouse on the Lighthouse's birthday.
