Museum of the Great Southern

The exhibition comprises images of remote, isolated landscapes, including Lake Eyre, the Canning Stock Route and the lesser known Lake Johnston situated between Hyden and Norseman.

Many of the images emphasize the sparse, spacious nature of these outback landscapes –lines of dunes stretching to distant horizons; a lone tree amidst a vast grassy plain; a single camel track stretching across the muddy lake shore.  Others are more abstract, with elements of colour and line isolated to convey the essence of place.

Exhibition opening 11am Sunday October 2nd.
