H1989.700
Rectangular, pale yellow huckaback guest towel with richelieu cut work embroidery at one end. Two yellow roses in lace and satin stitch and seven leaves outlined in green form the central motif. On each side there is a similar rose with five leaves. One edges is scalloped, the other hemmed. The cloth was made for exhibition and competed at 65 localities winning 40 firsts (one at Perth in 1971, and at Cannington in 1972) and 17 seconds in twenty three years of showing. Embroidery done by Mrs Wilson is accessioned between H89/695 to H89/700 and H89 734 to H89/738.
