SCHOOL CREST, Wesley
H1990.183
The crest appears to have been cut from a grey woollen garment. It is in the form of a coat of arms with a motto underneath. The coat of arms has a yellow border and is broken up into four sections inside by a black cross with yellow border. The top left and bottom right corners have a green background and three globe shaped objects in yellow with black lines on the bottom radiating upwards. The top right corner has a dragon? with a curling tail, wings and a red eye and tongue. This is in yellow on a black background. The bottom left corner is also yellow on a black ground and is a swan floating on yellow water. It has a red eye and legs. At the base of the coat of arms is the following "AUDENDO / ATQUE / AGENDO". It is in yellow lettering on a black ground with a yellow border. The crest belonged to one of the Hudson-Taylor boys who went to Wesley.
