GREATCOAT, Police

H1988.728

Heavy, navy blue, Police greatcoat, made from woven wool. Double-breasted, with 4 silver buttons down each side, one at the neck and one on each shoulder (for shoulder straps). Each button has Western Australian Police Force Crest. The shoulder buttons are smaller and tarnished. The coat has flap pockets on either side and a split up the back. Lining is black glazed cotton but does not cover back of coat. There is one inside pocket (LH), which bears Maker's label, "DETHRIDGES / AUSTRALIAN / TAILORING CO. / 113 BARRACK ST, PERTH".
