ABNEY LEVEL, ‘MADE IN ENGLAND’, in leather case

Small, rectangular, black painted metal, brass?, ‘MADE IN ENGLAND’, abney level with triangular shaped, dark brown, hard leather, buckled, case, and magnifier.
1. Single line of light coloured straight stitching around all sides/joins of case. Leather strap and buckle secures top hinged section, to triangular base. Lined with dark green velvet-like material, with small leather loop secure inside top hinge section, holds magnifier (3). Some small wear marks to leather.
2. Abney level made up of rectangular body, rounded brass eyepiece, raised inverted protractor, with adjoining cylindrical bubble level. Brass? Painted black, except for eyepiece. Protractor painted black on reverse, with silver coloured front and black numbered scale. Small, round hollow wheel at top front of protractor, connects to bubble level, to alter angle. ‘MADE IN ENGLAND’ engraved on front side of body. Some paint scratched/worn, brass showing through black paint finish.
3. Small, oval shaped, black plastic with glass, magnifier. Glass piece swivels from open sided case.
