Small brass binocular, painted black, in black leather case. Binocular (.1) has a focal adjustment between the two lenses; its two shafts are covered in black leather. The magnification of the binocular is weak. The case (.2) is lined with a blue textile; its base and lid are wooden, and it has a brass catch with floral ornamentation. Written in pen or inside of (hinged) lid: '367.2498/416/ V. HOBBS'.
