TRAVEL CASE, football, Bill 'Nipper' Truscott, 1909

Black 'Gladstone' leather bag containing four fluted-glass bottles of varying sizes with silver lids and one silver hinged container. The leather-lined bag has a central metal frame and catch on the outside and, inside, is divided in two by a hinged cardboard leaf. On one side are the bottles in leather straps and on the other side are two pouches for 'handkerchiefs' and 'gloves'. The largest glass bottlecontains a collection of mismatched metal pieces including a brass? key, a small glass stopper, and a winder pin. An engraved metal plaque fixed to front of bag is inscribed, 'Presented to W. J. Truscott / All round player / Mines Rovers F Club/ by G T Pattender / 1909'. Worn and damaged.
