e) Incorrectly identified as a magnifying glass - it is a monocle.
'Oxford' monocle. gold coloured metal with galley top and bottom on a black card. Possibly rolled gold. Identicle to images shown in: Army & Navy Cat. 1939-40 p. 921.

Date: c. 1900-1940. The gallery, top and bottom made it easier to wear.

a) Magnifier: folding 'coddington' magnifier made with a folding metal case. Nickel plated brass.
Date c.1900. Identical style shown in Sears/Roebuck Cat. 1902p.131 1897 p. 466.
b) Magnifier: small nickel plated brass magnifier attached to a makeshift cord of legal tape.
