White postcard from Jack Bonney with white transparent fabric window and a flap. Two pale blue flowers embroidered in lower corners, white flowers and green leaves embroidered on upper flap. Written in purple pencil below the flap "I wish you a merry Xmas/and Health, Wealth, and Hapiness for ever./J.E.B." Written in purple pencil on the reverse "O.A.S./9th Septebmer 1916/Your letter dated the 22th Sep [sic] received today/ It was addressed the the [sic] Battery so I do /not think I will miss many of your letters/now. So Alf has gone into camp wish him the /best of luck. I hope I live to see your/wonderful dog. He must be some dog if he can/ take Bullies place so easily. We can hear the/guns again. the mud is [illegible] so now I will/say goodbye with lots of love and xxxxxxxx/From Jack"
