Waves are visible below the boat. It is also glued to a block of wood. d. Dutch boy and girl skating hand in hand. There is a windmill and two trees in the background. They are both carrying bags. The girl is wearing a dress and Dutch hat, the boy has baggy trousers a shirt which buttons at the side and a hat and scarf. It is also mounted on a block of wood. e. Large lino cut of a camel. It is standing and is viewed from the side. The hump is emphasised, perhaps there is something sitting on it. The lino is glued to a block of wood. The children are facing towards the right of the picture. The girl is wearing a dress and there are five buttons visible on the mans shirt. There is a border around the picture. This is the only lino cut not mounted on wood. The toys were used by Miss Frances Rogers. Miss Rogers, born on 19 Oct 1904, went to Teacher's College in 1930 and joined the Education Department of W.A. in 1934. Between 1934 and her retirement in 1967, she taught at various country schools, took special classes for deaf and dumb children in Mosman Park, and classes for mentally and physically disabled children in Leederville. She also made and purchased a large collection of puppets which were used as teaching aids. These are accessioned under numbers H88/613 to H89/307 (not inclusive).
