Metal printing plate glued to wooden block, bearing 'COUNTRY TAXI/ DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORT/ WESTERN AUSTRALIA/ Reg. No. Make/........./ EXPIRY DATE/ day of/ DECEMBER 1990/ MINISTER FOR TRANSPORT'. The number '12' is written in large lettering on the bottom left hand half of the printing plate. The print is red in colour. The base of wooden block has slot in which to insert metal date stamp to change date - the metal backing of the '1990' numbers are visible from this slot.
