Pair of evening or wedding shoes of rich cream silk satin; pointed toe; medium high louis heel of wood, covered with satin; rosette bows on instep; leather sole, stamped in an oval '? OWN BOOT Co/ LONDON/ 202 REGENT ST'; lined with same satin; machine-sewn.
Addition 23.11.93:
Shoes, ivory evening or wedding. Shredded silk with satin lining. Inscription reads'....N BOOT COMPANY/ LONDON/ 102 REGENT ST'. French made, although sold in London. Has French shoe size as well as English shoe size inscribed. Made in the 1890s.
