(a) Walking shoes, Oxford style, of dark brown leather; punched decoration on quarters; tongue of pseudo-alligator; 4 pairs of eyelets laced with original flat brown lace, one end of which has decorative brown plastic knob; high, solid heels, leather-covered; leather soles; shop labels on inside of each heel 'BON MARCHE/ LTD/ Perth WA/ K237 x 16/ BK5/ (price)39/ 6'.
(b) Shoes of black satin trimmed with narrow, silver edged black petersham ribbon; cutaway quarters leave bar across instep; decorative, rhinestone-set buckles; toe formed of three swirling sections; high, narrow heel; stamped inside sole Lilley &/ Skinner Ltd/ Swiss Made'.
(c) Brown leather courts. 'Special Model'. Made for Bon Marche.
(d) Shoes of sky blue satin, edged with blue petersham ribbon; almond toe; bar across instep, buttons onto small grey mother of pearl stud button; high heel; stamped inside sole 'MYER EMPORIUM LTD/ Patrician Shoes/ MELBOURNE & ADELAIDE'.
(e) Shoes of black satin; cutaway quarters leaving bar across instep and bar to toe parts; oval buckle set with small rhinestones; high heel; stamped inside sole 'Gaiety/ SHOES'; stamped under sole '3/D'.

d) Not courts - are button bar shoes. Were originally Nory - were dyed. This was common pre-war. Probably early 1930s - straighter spanish heel etc.
