[1-3] Three large oval red and gold ‘EMU BREWERY/ PALE ALE’ labels. Metallic gold border and gold central oval, with a deep red ring between the two. Central oval (on gold background, printed in black) reads ‘BREWED/ AND/ BOTTLED/ BY/ EB/ PERTH/ WEST/ AUSTRALIA’. In the red ring (printed in white) is ‘PALE ALE/ EMU BREWERY LTD.’ Printed around the outside on gold border is ‘PRESERVATISED. THIS FOOD CONTAINS NOT MORE THAN 7/8THS OF A GRAIN OF BENZOIC ACID TO THE PINT.’

[4-6] Three large oval white and orange paper ‘PALE ALE’ labels. White border all the way round with a central orange oval and an orange and white vertical striped ring in between. The central orange oval has a sketch of a black swan with ‘BOTTLED AT THE BREWERY PERTH WEST AUSTRALIA’ in an arch around the top. Below the image is ‘TRADE MARK/ PRESERVATISED/ THIS FOOD CONATINS NOT MORE THAN 7/8THS OF A GRAIN OF BENZOIC ACID TO THE PINT’. In the striped section is ‘SWAN BREWERY COY. LIMD./ PALE ALE’ and in the white border at the very bottom is ‘SANDS & MCDOUGAL PTY. LTD. – PERTH’.

Envelope for these labels reads’ SWAN BREWERY PALE ALE’
