ROYAL NAVY UNDRESS - MONKEY JACKET (OFFICER)

Royal Navy Monkey Jacket/Undress Jacket - 1891 pattern. The monkey jacket has remained fundamentally unchanged, though its cut has varied according to prevailing civilian pattern. The date of manufacture would probably be Circa 1930's. the buttons on the jacket are 1901-53 model. The jacket displays the ribbons of six decorations (from right to left).
Top row - Meritorious Service Medal, 1939-45 star, Atlantic Star.
Bottom row - Africa Star, Italy Star, Burma Star. Rank on sleeve is that of an Engineer Captain as shown by purple background.
