Circular gold finish medallion with raised rim. Border around outside edge delineated by second internal raised rim reads: ' IVth ASIA PACIFIC 12th AUSTRALIAN JAMBOREE/1979-80'. Motif of upright sandgroper in centre with two antennae, arms, face and segmented worm like body. Text 'SANDGROPER AWARD' encircles bottom edge of motif. Reverse: 'SHERIDAN/ PERTH' , circular indentation in centre of badge with raised middle, no fixing attached.
