Oblong book with light green hardcover, bound together with a wire spiral. 'REECE.../CATALOGUE/PRICE LIST/INSTRUCTIONS/for SERIES 101/BUTTON HOLE MACHINE' PRINTED IN BLACK AND SILVER ON THE FRONT COVER. A picture of the machine in light green is enclosed in a circle of black, rimmed with silver. An oval hole in the cover, displays 'INDEX' on the first page. The book provides machine instructions and 'trouble digest' for the user. It is divided into 3 sections, listing machine parts and the price list. Diagrams are copious. 'Copyright 1942/by/The Reece Button Hole Machine Co.' A double length of green cotton tape is inserted and knotted onto the wire spiral, with a central loop with which to suspend book.
