DANCE COSTUME, green two piece dress and jacket ‘Bellboy’ outfit, gold toned buttons to jacket [.1] DRESS [.2] JACKET
[.1] DRESS. Pleated, green cotton skirt, mid thigh length, attached to a canvas underblouse, with a pleat across the waist to lengthen it, when necessary. The dress is closed with press studs right down the back and a hook and eye at the waist. The pleats are held in place with white cotton tacking stitches at hip level.
[.2] JACKET. Green cotton, fitted jacket with peaked waist line, two front one in the back. Long sleeves, trimmed at the cuff with two rows of gold ribbon. High, Peter Pan collar, also trimmed with a gold ribbon. The front opening has thirteen brass buttons, with anchors on them, from neck to waist. These are closed with corresponding hooks and hand sewn eyes.
