Postcard size black and white full WWI studio portrait photograph of Matthew Harwood, 16th Battalion AIF, in uniform. Matthew wears AIF slouch hat, tunic, puttees and boots. Stands on large rug with leopard print pattern. Behind is painted backdrop of columns and fountain. Silver fish damage and tearing to image, LL corner missing. Hand written on back: ‘Matt./ Dec 1915’. On reverse, black printed lettering reads ‘POST CARD/ CORRESPONDENCE | ADDRESS ONLY’ and small stamp box is delineated by four words printed in square shape: ‘KODAK/ AUSTRAL/ KODAK/ AUSTRAL’. Printed at bottom right: ‘Ruskin Studio/ Perth’
