Postcard size black and white photograph. Matthew Harwood standing in front of improvised canvas, hessian and bush wood tent/ house, Canning Vale, c. 1912-1913. Matthew wears large pale coloured t-shirt with buttons down front, tucked into dark pants. On reverse, black printed lettering reads ‘POST CARD/ CORRESPONDENCE | ADDRESS ONLY’ and small stamp box is delineated by four words printed in square shape: ‘KODAK/ AUSTRAL/ KODAK/ AUSTRAL’
