[.1] BOX; Rectangular blue cardboard box designed to look like a coffin. Both lid and base are printed with woodgrain patterning and lid has two silver handles printed on each side. Top of lid has "The Video Board-game/Nightmare" printed on a silver plate pattern surrounded by two purple goblin-bat creatures. Bottom of base has game information and two photos; one of the game set-up and one of 'The Gatekeeper.' Inside the box is a moulded blue plastic insert with recesses to hold various parts of the game.
[.2] GAME BOARD; Square blue, silver and purple card playing board with black backing folded into thirds. Back of middle third has 'Nightmare' printed on in silver.
[.3] RULES; Rectangular grey card with game rules printed on both sides in black.
[.4] VIDEO AND VIDEO COVER; Blue VHS video tape with purple and white label inside a black cardboard cover with 'Nightmare' printed on both sides.
[.5] PENCIL; black lead pencil with gold end holiding red eraser. 'NIGHTNMARE' printed along the pencil towards top.
[.6] NIGHTMARE CARDS; 10 X Rectangular blue card with angled corners. 'Nightmare' printed on silver background in centre. Reverse of card plain for players to write their greatest fear on in pencil. Pencil is then erased at the end of each game and some pencil indents are still visible.
[.7] KEYS; 36 (6 sets of 6) cardboard shaped keys, one set corresponding to each colour of the plastic tombstone playing pieces.
[.8] CARDS; 256 game cards further broken down into 48 black and white 'Fate' cards, 48 blue and white 'Chance' cards and 160 purple and white 'Time' cards
[.9];TOMBSTONE PLAYING PIECES; 6 X plastic playing pieces with 3 x cross-shaped in black, purple and red. 3 x arched headstones in blue, grey and white. Each is marked with the name of a character.
[.10]; VELVETEEN BAG WITH NUMBERED TOKENS; rectangular black velvet cloth bag with 'Nightmare' printed in silver 1/3 way up from base. Inside bag are 6 x square white plastic tokens with rounded corners. Each is printed with a black number between 1 and 6 on both sides.
[.11]; COIN; White plastic coin with black picture on both sides. One side has a devil's head and the other a devil's tail.
[.12]; DIE; black die with white spots.
