WOODEN CRATE, Cod Fillets

Oblong wooden crate, shallow, without lid. Crudely constructed from slats of rough-sawn wood, milled on the outside only. Nailed together. Each side is stamped with inscription in black ink. Two sides read: 'FINEST SELECTED "CAPE COD" FILLETS/ *REG.TRADE MARK/ 14LBS.NETT./ PRODUCT OF SOUTH AFRICA'. The other two sides read: 'IRVIN & JOHNSON FISH PRODUCTS/ [PTY] LTD./ CAPE TOWN' (Logo of boat: "TRAWLER? BRAND"/ REGISTERED TRADE MARK'.
