Square wooden box, shallow, without lid. Crudely constructed from slats of rough-sawn wood (milled on outside only), nailed together. Each side is stamped in black ink. Two sides read: '1 DOZ. 4 OZ. BOTTLES/ x/ BOVRIL'; the other two sides read 'BOVRIL/ MADE IN ENGLAND'.
