CRATE, wooden, Letchford soft drink bottle

H2003.15

Rectangular, wooden weathered pine (?) crate, with iron, nailed, corroded reinforcement strips holding crate ends to side and base – both strips broken and incomplete underneath. Crude, semi-finished, wide-spaced double slat ends and sides with narrower-spaced four slat base. Short corner uprights on ends with chamfered tops. Maker’s name stencilled in black paint to side slats ‘W. LETCHFORD’ (top), ‘FREMANTLE’ (bottom).
