NAIL PULLER

H1991.4

Tapered handle which the shaft of the puller slides, at the other end is a pincer head with rounded jaws. On the other side of these, cast in the same piece of iron, is a level to open and close the jaws. Nails can be easily extracted from soft pine and similar timber (such as packing case) by extending the tool to its full length, resting the open pincer above the nail and sharply pushing down on the handle which forces the pincer jaws into the wood over the nail. The pincer can then be closed over the embedded nail.
