CONTAINER, METAL
H1996.131
Square metal container with open top and wire bucket handle attached. The sides of the container are pressed out to create raised panels onto which labels would normally be attached. The top of the container has been crudely cut open and folded back. A hole has been punched into each side of the top rim to accommodate the handle, which is curved into a smooth semi-circle and has a small piece of remnant plastic handle grip remaining. Tin was probably originally used for kerosene welded seam down two corners.
