Tilley lamp and box.
[.a] Tilley storm lamp number X246B. Standard Tilley as made for the last 50 years. Lamp sits on rounded fuel tank which has a pump in one side and 'TILLEY/ MANUFACTURED IN UNITED KINGDOM' underneath pump. There is a cage attached to this shielding the top, central tube, mantel and a circular piece of metal which sits underneath glass. There is a disc of cardboard marked 'OFF' and 'ON' on tap. The tap comprises two bell shaped pieces of metal. Still contains kerosene.
[.b] Rectangular cardboard box, 2 layers of cardboard. Piece of paper to protect glass. Picture of lamp on 2 sides. On one side is printed 'TILLEY/ STORMLIGHT/ DO NOT LET THIS LAMP/ FALL INTO DISUSE FOR/ WANT OF A SPARE PART/ WHICH IS AVAILABLE FROM/ YOUR LOCAL DEALER/ KEEP THE OPERATING/ INSTRUCTIONS (PACKED INSIDE/ THIS CARTON) WHICH INCLUDES/ A LIST OF ALL SPARE PARTS/ THE TILLEY LAMP COMPANY LIMITED/ DUNMURRY BELFAST NORTHERN IRELAND/ X246B.'
