H1990.397

Button type badge. This badge is made up of a metal base onto which a round piece of paper with a message printed on it and a plastic protective covering have been pressed. The paper onto which the message has been printed is yellow and the message has been printed in green ink. The badge depicts a bud and flower which has nine pointed petals around an almost circular centre. Just below to the right coming off the stem is a small bud. Around the edge of the bud printed in green is the following: "AUSTRALIANS ACTING FOR DISARMAMENT". Around the rim of the badge's base a piece of metal been bent to form the pin. This piece of metal has been bent most of the way around this rim. At one end this metal has been sharpened and this sharp end bent across the diameter of the badge. Directly opposite this sharp end the metal has been looped so that the other piece of metal can be pushed underneath the loop effectively forming a pin to hold the badge in place on a garment.
