DENTAL NURSES' UNIFORM: Dress

H1989.43

Old uniforms from the Perth Dental Hospital. Passed to the museum by Rod Stockwell. Perth Dental Hospital issues nurses with uniforms; these uniforms no longer servicable. Cross-over style, 5 panelled dress. Front panel has 9 buttons; overlaps fifth panel and buttons at shoulder seam. Left panel has pocket, right panel fits under front panel and has 9 buttonholes. Rear panel has two large darts from yoke to hem line. Belt crosses rear panel, joined to right and left panels at seamline. Belt has two buttons. Belt needs to be undone to open dress. Dress has "P.D.H. 56 XXSSW" and "S/N NEWMAN". S/N presumably stands for student nurse.
