Heavy white cotton. Chemise style. Long cuffed sleeves, small stand-up collar, short yoke. Opens at front fastening with three cotton covered brass buttons. Button holes on applied strip of fabric trimmed with feather stitch around edges. Cuffs also trimmed with feather stitch. Two gussets inserted on one side of garment widening from shoulder to hem, and joined to main fabric by oversewing selvages. Flat seams elsewhere. Slightly gathered at yoke. All hand sewn. Embroidered initials at bottom of front opening 'B.U.'
