"...rich colouring...A gentleman in a green, blue and crimson robe riding a crimson horse is fording a stream followed by an attendant on foot carrying two well filled bags and other desirable looking articles on a pole The red sun indicates the end of a perfect day and the design, which is a well known one, is generally entitled "The Pink Robbers." No separate border, picture extends to rim. Purchased from Hyam & Co., London, 21 July 1920 for 8 pounds 10s. See copy of receipt attached to data sheet. Ann Roberts: An attractive plate decorated in a 'rose-verte' palette with a warrior on horseback wading across a river beneath a blossoming tree overhanging the bank, followed by his servant on foot bearing his belongings on a pole over his shoulder.
